HOME HEALTH STUDY

Find out how we can make your home a healthier place.

We Clean for Your Health Like No One Else.

Your home is full of allergens and dust. However, your carpets and upholstery work to trap these harmful particles out of the air. This process is important for your home health and indoor air quality. For the 1 in 5 Americans (roughly 60 million) that have allergies or asthma, removal of allergens is especially important. The result is a home that is cleaner and fresher for you and your family, but dirty carpets and furniture. When your carpets and furniture get too dirty, they can no longer effectively clean your air. That’s where Chem-Dry Carpet Tech comes in!

Lab Study Results

We know that you want the best, healthiest home for your family, especially when allergies or other health concerns are in play. We want the best for your home too. That’s why we had an independent air quality lab test our cleaning methods and report on the results.

The study tested our innovative Hot Carbonated Extraction (HCE) carpet and upholstery cleaning method. We tested not only allergen and dust removal in our carpet cleaning, but also our upholstery cleaning and our Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®). This study used a cross-section of various consumer homes throughout both the US and the rest of the world.

Here are the results from the final report:

chem-dry carpet and upholstery cleaning removes 98.1% of allergens.

Carpet & Upholstery

Our Hot Carbonating Extraction (HCE) process was tested by a leading independent air quality laboratory in multiple homes. The lab found that Chem-Dry removes an average of 98.1% of common household non-living allergens from carpets and upholstery. The common allergens tested were dog and cat dander and dust mite allergens.

chem-dry pet urine odor removal treatment removes 99.9% of pet urine odors from carpets

Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.®)

An independent laboratory also conducted multiple tests of P.U.R.T., our revolutionary process for treating pet urine odors and stains. In tests against the most common odor sources found in dog and cat urine, the study concluded that P.U.R.T. removes an average of 99.9% of pet urine odors from carpets.

Reducing Non-Living Allergens from Your Home

Many people don’t realize that carpets, rugs, and upholstery act as giant air filters for your home, trapping allergens and keeping them out of the air we breathe. But just like any air filters, they need to be properly and regularly cleaned to remain optimally effective. All of us, and particularly the 1 in 5 Americans (roughly 60 million) who suffer from allergies or asthma, are greatly impacted by indoor air quality and the amount of allergens trapped in our homes that can trigger an attack. Considering that, and the fact that we spend an average of 90% of our time indoors, selecting a trusted professional with safe and healthy processes to clean your carpet, upholstery, area rugs, tile & stone, and granite countertops is an important decision and plays a key role in the health of your home and your family.

*Based on results of studies conducted by independent laboratories of the Chem-Dry HCE (Hot Carbonating Extraction) and P.U.R.T. (Pet Urine Removal Treatment). Allergens tested were dog and cat dander and dust mite matter. Pet odor results based on testing with the most common odor sources found in dog and cat urine. Figures are an average across multiple tests.
